What is The Monthly Edit?

A collection curated every month , by us, for you. Four items, how to style them, why we love them and more. We’ve gathered four items that can create a stylish and elegant outfit when you combine all the pieces. But we also want to highlight each item on its own; how to style them with pieces you may already have and the features of each item. Consider the monthly edit a mini catalogue that explores the style and functionality of pieces - touching on fashion, sport and their interdependent relationship.

The Basics - Full Outfit

Basics may seem, well, basic — but they’re the building blocks of every great outfit. Often labelled as bland or boring, basics actually create a blank canvas made up of timeless, boundless pieces. Better yet, these activewear essentials are not only fashion-forward, but highly practical too.

This first issue of the Monthly Edit brings together everything an outfit should deliver: style, practicality, and versatility. The pieces work seamlessly as a performance-based look, yet can just as easily be styled on their own — in or out of the gym. While we’re constantly inspired by street style and urban athleisure, we don’t believe that’s where the capabilities of these pieces end. Here’s our take on our favourite basics, and how to wear them.

01 - Classic White Tee

No conversation around basics would be complete without the classic white tee. Our take comes in the form of the Fit.Gymwear Chakra Tee in white, grey or black — buttery soft, flattering, and crafted from a thick yet stretchy fabric. Designed to move effortlessly between sportswear and outerwear, this is a piece that earns its place beyond the gym. Style it by contrasting its sporty, close-cut silhouette with something softer and more feminine: think flowy skirts, floral prints, billowy shapes, and vibrant colour.

02 - Minimalistic Bra

A minimal bra is the unknown hero of a busy schedule. The reason: ultimate comfort yet sustained style. The minimal style means it’s perfect under clothes as a comfy layer of support, or you can dress it up to wear on its own. The open back lets you show off hard-earned back muscles in the gym and out of the gym – the thinner straps and simple design allow it to be useful in many other settings. Our personal favourite is balancing the extra bit of skin with high-waisted bottoms of your choosing.

03 - Elevated Legging

Dark-coloured leggings will never go out of style and, better yet, these are scrunched so they slightly elevate the fit and the look. These leggings are squat-proof and are an excellent foundation for any wardrobe. You can wear them with anything; they are high-waisted and—how could we forget?—incredibly ready for performance and sports as well. We would pair these with a matching navy crop or a pop of colour on top—we love to pair navy blue with lime green.

04 - Big Bag

You may have already guessed it, but we’re devoted to big bags. Have yoga, work, and errands in the same day? This is the Mary Poppins bag for you. It fits your extra clothes, purse, makeup, laptop and, of course, your yoga mat on top in between the handles. This bag can also be downsized with two buttons to give the illusion of a smaller bag—one that can still fit all your belongings.
